[†]The Story[†]

Over 800 years ago large wolf like beings roamed the soils of this earth. They were feared by the Indians of the land, but also worshiped for their strengths and abilities. The Indians gave them sacrifices from their sheep flocks and cow herds. The wolves accepted them, leaving alone the villages and people, but a new threat soon came.

White men were invading the lands and taking over everything. This angered the wolves and they began killing all on sight, but little the wolves knew of the weapons they had. Instead of running and fearing the wolves, they began to hunt them. They used guns and knives, something the wolves had never seen before, so they vanished into the woods. There they evolved, turning from Werewolves to Lycans. They were able to keep their human forms and were able to live among the people of the world, but the time they chose to re-emerge was one of the worst. Talk of witchcraft and magic was spreading, and how all who possessed it were to be burned.

The lycans feared for their lives, so they stayed hidden and secluded. Slayers were being trained to hunt down the unholy creatures of this world, but to the lychons relief they were spared. They had been forgotten, but it wasn't long until they were once again discovered. The people of the villages began to fear the night and the Slayers began to hunt the lycans. Most thought they could not hold human form, but it was soon learned they could and killings of lycans in their human forms began to be reported.

The Slayers began to hunt the lycans as their main creature and their race began to disappear. Many Slayers appeared at night, when a lycan had no choice but to change into the wolf-like creatures. With fear once again striking them, they ran into the forests and hid away from the world.

The emerged once more, able to keep human form and change at will; but different conditions had different effects on the lychons, so clans began to form. The clans were separated by jealousy and hatred for each other. The clans began to fight and feud over who was better. Their war raged on for years in the silence of the night. Eventually all hunting for those of the dark arts stopped – the Slayers went into a state of dormancy, waiting till the return of the Lycans. The Lychons again began killing off flocks and herds, but with the disappearances and strange noises of them fighting in the night the Slayers soon returned. They were better equipped and with more knowledge of their species. An all out war broke out between the races, one against the other.

Throughout time the two have fought and many have been killed, generations of father and son have taken their places in the war, but the lycans still feud with each other, killing off each other along with the Slayers. As time pasded the lycans had to go into secrecy, living away and in secrecy. The slayers began to create new weapons, one in perticuler they have used like drugs.Once injected this serem turns a lycan normal, and once their powers are gone the slayers fornce them into their school, and use them to learn more about the clans. In today’s world they still walk among us, along with Slayers, but with a new school that trains the Slayers, and The Lycan clans becoming more aggressive from the temptations of today, will the lycan race be able to survive? Who will be left standing in the end?

It all started out as a regular summer day. . .It was mid afternoon and I was leaning out on the white, mottled fence; The wood was weathered and it kept splintering my hands, but I clung to it tightly, gazing out on the sun bathed pasture, just enjoying life. Summer was ending soon, I didn’t want to be reminded, but it was so hard to forget; I mean so much had happened already, Duke and I had gone fishing about everyday, biking, or rather extreme biking, and fire pits with the kids from the neighborhood. Everything just seemed good for once, like everything was going my way and it just seemed to be getting better. Hell I was sittin’ pretty at a barn, far out in the country, without anyone from school, and horses surrounded me! Life was good, but I wished maybe Duke could be here, though horses were never really his thing, he was always caught up with the thought that horses were just too prissy for him. Well his loss anyway. I smiled as a calico barn cat rubbed against my leg, its hazel eyes pleading for a quick pet as it then skittishly trotted away just as I put my hand down. I rolled my eyes and breathed a quick laugh, letting my hands trace the odd shape of the old fence, so much history into something so simple; I grinned, leaning my head on the warmed wood, and I sat there, the breeze in my face and for once some happiness on my heart. Within a few minutes I was interrupted, a sighed deeply as I turned my head around slowly to the bouncy walk that could only be Sue. Smirking I turned my back to the fence, and gave her my usual eye-brow cock, obviously asking what was up,

“Want me to tack up Legend or something?”

My voice was smooth, so casual I just had to smile. You see horses and me were pretty unusual, racing or any horse-sport for that matter was known as the “Sport of Kings”. And lets just say my family wasn’t royal if you know what I mean; So when I got the chance to be with horses for no money at all, I was there, and damn enjoying it. A smile tugged at Sue’s cracked lips as she brushed her wispy brown hair out of her face; Shoving her hands in her pocket she let her brown eyes travel over to a bay quarter horse as she spoke,

“Hey Anna Banana, Naw . . .Legend is alright for now, but your mom is on the phone; She says she has some news.”

Sue smiled sincerely, her hand running over her sunburned neck briefly, was she tired, or something on her mind? Still cocking my eyebrow I gave her a toothy grin, kicking up some dust with my boots. Her eyes were still glued to that bay mare; I waved my hand in her face a few times. I wasn’t tryin’ to be rude, but I’d rather have her attention. She shot a somewhat annoyed look at me scowling; I let my shoulders droop as I then craned my neck towards the ground, breaking whatever eye contact we had left,

“Can I tack em’ later?”

My tone was shaky, unsure, I felt bad about taking her away from the mare, but she didn’t seem to care anymore; Letting her hand reach out I flinched, as she chuckled and ruffled my long dirty blonde hair. My hazel eyes looked at hers’ as they seemed to laugh. Sue let her hand travel down to my shoulder as she then patted it once or twice. All right, so I guessed it was a yes, but I didn’t wait long enough for her answer. With a quick nod of my head I pushed myself off the fence and gaily bounded through the barn doors. My feet seemed to flip in cowboy boots as if rounded the corner into the private tack room. Skidding to a quick stop my body about slammed into the door; I let out a loud laugh as I eagerly grabbed the tarnished knob. I really wanted to talk to her, so much to say, things were finally going my way. Earnestly I seized the phone from the cluttered table, and pressed it against my ear. Grinning widely I opened my mouth to speak, but it seemed to freeze there, jaw gaping; my brother was sobbing. I lifted my eyebrow and frowned, he was screaming louder, it sounded horrid, but I couldn’t make out what he was saying. I shuddered,

“ M . . M . . .Mom . . . why is Dus . . .Dustin crying?”

My voice faltered as I let my eyes dart from object to object, not wanting to focus; I didn’t want to know what was wrong, why he was crying. Dustin’s cry had always seemed different to me, not because he talked differently or something; But it always seemed sadder, like a mourning wail, as if he had just endured a thousand deaths. As much as it may freak you out, that’s how it sounded to me, and I hated it; one just felt like running to him and hugging him, god it made me so scared to hear him like that. My jean hugged legs felt weak as I heard my mother breath deeply, her breath somewhat raspy as the words slowly and reluctantly entered my ear,

“Anna, we gotta put her down”

“Put her down.” The first thing that registered was nothing; What the hell?! I thought, digging into my pocket I took out a crumpled picture of my dog, Jade; Trying to take my mind off the conversation. So far I didn’t like what I was hearing. I froze. No. No way, she couldn’t mean that, this really couldn't be happening! Not Jade! No, please God not her! She was my baby, my dog, my one and only living-being who really didn't give a damn about how I looked, talked, acted, and she'd still be my friend; I dazed, my mind carrying me to her liquid brown eyes, looking back at my eyes, now misty with tears. I shook my head slowly; my mouth gaped as my brother screamed louder, obviously not wanting to hear this news, but hey, neither did I. Quietly I asked,

"Wait . . .why?"

My mom replied that she had been sick for about two years, I knew that it started out with kennel cough but I never knew one could be so harshly affected by it; Well that wasn't it, apparently my golden angel had cancer in her chest, and a beyond huge, what the vets called sinus infection had totally skilled her nerves, and her brain was shutting down. I pursed my lips tightly, not wanting to speak, though I asked

“When?”

This was in a soft whimper, I couldn’t bear to speak, it took too much out of me just to breath, or live for that matter. I heard my brother scream, “Tonight!!” I couldn't bear to hear his sobs anymore, I wanted to hang up, but I didn’t I couldn’t; After a few odd moments of silent sobs I told my mom thanks for telling me and that I'd see her after the barn closed up. From there I slammed the phone down, and wiped my eyes of their provoked tears, my hands shook as I feebly grabbed the rusty knob leading out of the private tack room. I was in the main lobby, where some of the older campers where hanging out. I had been talking about how my dog had been sick an how she was recovering, hell Kirsten and Sue the camp directors even listened; But Sue was really involved, her being the one who gave me the phone. She was still in the ring instructing some campers; I walked in there my strides large as ever as I met her form in the middle of the ring. Shyly I looked up at her and said,

"They're putting her down"

I scuffed my boots as Sue gave me the most compassionate look and threw her arms around me. I liked the feel of it, even though I didn't know her all too well. Whispering in my ear she wiped my tears away telling me to go over in the lobby, and that she'd talk with me later. I briskly walked out; I strode over to a deserted table in the corner of the room and sat down almost missing the seat. Trying to take my mind off of Jade I stared out blankly onto some old photos, little did I know tears were streaming from my eyes and my arms hugged tightly around my torso. One by one some of the older and younger campers who had just left the ring, walked up to me, and within ten minutes I had various questions being thrown at me. Sue, and Kirsten, the camp owners walked over and told the kids that I needed some alone time; I smiled at them all weakly and thanked them for caring as my gaze then went to the adults. They told me that I should probably go outside and that they wouldn't let anyone bother me. Feebly I got up, my arms still hugged around me as I stiffly walked outside into the blinding light. The sun warmed my face as I scowled unintentionally. Again I was perched on the old fence, watching horses gallop and play freely and I felt like falling off and just laying there. Looking at the bright blue sky the fluffy white clouds seemed to dull as I shook my face of its tears; I whipped my face in the directions of the ground where then I began scolding myself. I felt like it was my fault even though I knew it wasn't, I'd rather blame myself anyway. Clenching the fence I leaned into it harder, nails digging into my legs. The wind caressing my reddened cheeks, Sitting down on the grass I was sure to ease myself off the fence slowly, I didn't want to move fast, I didn't want to leave the barn. Going back to crying my chest heaved and my eyes stung, I wanted to cry more, I felt like I needed to, but I stopped. I didn’t want to, but my body seemed like it couldn’t take it anymore. I scolded myself, I couldn’t even cry for Jade. Scowling I wiped my nose on my bare arm I sighed, now wanting the truth to sink in, but it wasn’t worth it to push it back. Jade was dying. Campers started to leave as I realized I had been out there for alone about 2 hours. I looked around in disbelief, had it really been that long? Footsteps clicked behind me as I craned my neck behind me; I saw Kirsten walking towards me, a box of tissues in her hand. I smiled faintly as I welcomed her to sit down; she did as we began conversing like nothing at all was going to happen. I liked that; I wanted to get off it for I knew I'd think about it later. Many sobs, tissues, and fake laughs later my moms van pulled up, Jade's neck eagerly waiting from the window. I grinned widely and sprung from my grassy seat; even though the future didn’t seem to good, she was there, at least I could see her. I went to hug Kirsten and Sue, who had just joined our little shin-dig. They handed a small note and told me to open it after Jade was gone; I nodded solemnly, still not wanting to open it. If I didn’t open it Jade wouldn’t have to leave . . .right? I walked casually to the silver van, running my hand over Jade’s broad, golden skull. Her tongue caressed my dusty hand as I watched her happily; Her touch comforted me, as I looked back at the old weathered barn and heaved a sigh. I didn’t really want to see her die did I? Did it matter? Why? Why not? I bet right there and then I could’ve bluntly answered every one of those questions; But I didn’t want too, it’d just hurt more, knowing and facing that she was gonna be gone. Scrunching my face I looked back at the van and shoved the door open; I was greeted earnestly with a soft wet tongue as I laughed and brushed my golden hair from my eyes; Only then to be greeted with 2 large paws that planted themselves firmly on my chest. I laughed and pressed my lips against her cold wet nose. She didn’t seem sick, but she never did really, except for when she first got kennel cough. Maybe that’s why I never really thought she was going to go. Hell she was 10 years old already, she was lucky to live this long. A heaved a short sigh as I hauled my dusty, fatigued figure into the van.

In a land tucked away into a thread-line of worlds, a mixture of races live in both peace and turmoil. Here in a world blooming with both life and death... where do you fall?

Wolves; the majestic creatures of the wild. Hunting in packs and on the edge of existence as they struggle to live with humans, some of which wish to capture them. Standing alone or in a pack, they lift their skulls in a chorus of melodious howls. Dire wolves rise from their extinct status; wolves in critical decline in numbers roam the lands; and even the most common of wolves make their own way of life.

Canines; ranging from the coyote to the foxes and even the domestic dogs on the streets and in your homes. Street dogs amble across towns with snarls painted on their muzzles; foxes sprint, dodging around obstacles; coyotes call their rueful tunes; and the house dogs gaze out the window, the full moon burning bright silver in the eyes of them all.

Humans; the two legged beings that actually have thumbs that are usable. Living among the towns, traveling, making pacts with creatures to make themselves more powerful, and far more. Clubs springing up from their working hands, houses being built in various towns, and the turmoils of everyday life fall into place in this haunting world.

Mythical Creatures; the strangest of them all. Dragons with glimmering eyes that flare flame from their mouths; Gryphons with their heads held high and proud, wings spread; Elementalists summoning their elemental powers; Vampires with their slicked, curved fangs and bloodthirsty eyes; and many more lurking in your deepest dreams and nightmares.

Pacts; the agreement of a human and a creature to combind souls. Able to gain the power of the other and the ability to speak to them through their mind. The human, however, gives up an ability in return to this power, and if one dies, both die.

The world of Twisted Illusionist awaits.

Dare you enter its realms?

The wolves of Sirhaan, which is located on Toralet Island, are not your typical wolves. They are strangely marked, wield magical powers, and are unnaturally built in size and shape. But then again, Toralet isn't your typical island. Nearly planted in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and many miles northeast of South America, there is no form of human life here, giving the animals full reign of the island. It has been this way for centuries, and thus the animals know nothing of human existence. But the wolves have conflicts of their own to think about. Generations of envy and betrayal have caused the wolves to divide into three conflicting alliances, each with its own kingdom: Krashien, Achryseis, and Daralyses.

Each of these alliances have only one thing in common: they all yearn to claim the power of Valadriel, the legendary medallion that once belonged to the goddess Felicity. It is said that after Felicity mysteriously disappeared, all of her magic and powers were transferred to Valadriel before the medallion shattered into four pieces. And the one wolf that can find and reunite all the missing pieces will become Valadriel's new wielder and the Oathskeeper of the Elements. It is said that this Oathskeeper will gain the power to control all beasts and elements, placing the universe in the palm of their paw. As tensions rise between the three Kingdoms, the threat of war is becoming more and more inevitable.

But the wolves of Toralet are not the only ones that are facing a growing threat. As time drags on, the island's secrecy is steadily being more unveiled. The arrival of Outlanders -wolves from other countries and continents- is beginning to become less of a rarity each day; it is even rumored that the Krashien king himself is an Outlander, though these suspicions have not been confirmed. It is only a matter of time before an Outlander's path is tracked to the island, and the secret of Toralet's existence is exposed to the rest of the world.

Age Rating: PG-13
Type: Wild Horse

Site plot:[/blockquote][/blockquote]

While most sing a tale about gory deaths and dramatic love losses, there is one equine who does none of that. He is the one who causes those who sing those tales to have a story to tell.

Thinking of the devil, or Mephistopheles? No. He is worse. The devil just tortures lost souls of the dead. Mephistopheles just haunts the dreams of those who slumber. The one I speak of is the one who sends the lost souls to the devil. The one who thinks himself as the god of the new world.

He name is (NAME HERE).

(NAME HERE) didn't have something tragic happen to him to make him this way, to make him demand death such as this. No. That is just who he is. He craves the suffering of others, he loves the thrill of watching others bleed to death at his feet. The thing that he really loves is to hear the cries loved ones make as the last breath fades out of the victim's mouth.

How would he stake his lust for death and blood you ask. Well, the only way he thinks is fun. Sacrifice. Sacrificing live equines for his own god-like needs. Once a month on the quarter moon a sacrifice must be made from one of the several herds that are unde(NAME HERE)'s rule. If all the herds fail to comply with his demands then a full out blood bath occurs. (NAME HERE) goes out on a rampage, killing any that stands in his way or he feels should not live to take another breath.

(NAME HERE) doesn't give his victims a quick painless death. No, that is to easy. In stead he makes them climb to the top of the highest peak in his personal terra and take a leap off a cliff. At the bottom of the cliff, several hundred feet down, is jagged rocks. Not a single soul could survive the fall. As the equines fall (NAME HERE) loves to listen to their blood curdling screams, then, the resounding thud that follows. Then, an eerie silence that follows, showing that once again a life was taken by another's greed.

Using trickery and whit, he collects followers, or creates fear in everyones heart. One day, he will show you a perfect world.

"I had dreamt of a world that no one else could have seen
In the spreading darkness I exchanged vows of revolution
Dreams turn into ideals
And I threw away everything that I didn’t need
Like the feelings that dwell in my heart

Still in the rift between reality and ideals
Even if my feet are bound by shackles of sacrifice
My overflowing impulse cannot be repressed because
I have a heart that yearns powerfully

Lies
Fear
Vanity
Grief
I won’t be weak enough
To be apprehended by these forms of negativity
I am a trickster who knows no loneliness

Someday, I'll show you a brilliant world"

Note: Where it says "Name here" it is because this character has yet to made/take it's place as the king of everything
